Raspberry pi – convert rasbian to server OS

Working along on the raspberry pi with rasbian I found an article about how to remove unneeded packets that are used for “user experience”.
To get the raspberry pi to become a server the following packets can be rremoved I modified it to the original post of http://blog.christian-stankowic.de but u modified the commands a little bit that the WiFi packages are still in place.

sudo apt-get remove --purge alsa-* gnome-icon-theme gnome-themes* gsettings-* hicolor-icon-theme lxde* midori* openbox omxplayer pulseaudio* wireless-tools xserver-* zenity* lxappearance lxinput lxmenu-data lxpanel lxpolkit lxrandr lxsession* lxshortcut wpagui lxtask lxterminal mupdf menu menu-xdg netsurf* penguinspuzzle smartsim scratch usbmuxd xarchiver
sudo apt-get remove --purge xterm leafpad
sudo apt-get remove --purge avahi* gksu* libgl1-mesa-glx libglapi-mesa libjack-jackd2-0
sudo apt-get autoremove --purge

With the removal of theses packages and the updates (01/13) the rasbian distribution consumes about 1,1 G on my pi.
