Cisco Firepower Time Zone settings

Before you start to run an IPS module time is a key factor to aggregate your ips and firewall logs. Therefore NTP is quite handy. unfortunatly it is not possible to see on the spot where you can change time settings on the fireower module via ADSM.

There is a lot of deploying config involved until yo find your final setup.

First set go to:ASDM -> Configuration -> ASA FirePower Configuration -> Local -> System Policy

Klick to “Time Synchronisation” -> “Set My Clock” to “Manually in Local Comnfiguration” and press save.

Firepower06And deploy the config to your FirePower module wait some time:Firepower05

Now go to: ASDM -> Configuration -> ASA FirePower Configuration -> Local -> Configuration –> Time

Set your time-Zone, click apply and Deploy configurationFirepower03

Now its time after an other cup of coffee to configure your NTP Server of your choice and press save.

Firepower01

And (again) deploy the config to your FirePower module wait some time:Firepower05

Now you should be able to configure your scheduled tasks according to your timezone:

Firepower07

Have fun with Cico FirePower … its a challange but I like it 🙂

    Hi,

Thank you for this quick solution. Unfortunately I can’t change the timezone this way. Which version of SF and ASDM did you use for this task?

      I used the following versions:
      ASA: 9.5.2 interim
      ASDM: 7.5.2.153
      Firepower: 6.0.1
